The Zocalo Public Square event is April 7 at 7 p.m. at the Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Blvd. The King Edward Saloon, where friends and fans will gather on April 8 from 8-10 p.m. to raise a glass to Fante on his 100th birthday, is at 131 E. Fifth St.
